Introduction
YFC Steinbach | Youth Unlimited needs a Full Time Youth Worker. This individual will be a part
of the team that cares for and impacts youth in our community.

Position
To provide care, support, and programming for youth in our scope.
Duties and responsibilities
Youth Work
Two evenings a week at the drop-in OR one evening a week at drop-in and one evening involved in intentional programming (evening means between the hours of 6-11pm)
Weekly one on one/small group connections with youth
Strategizing and vision programming that coincides with the drop-in ministry and that relates to youth needs, especially on non-school days (PD days, summer/spring break etc.)
Promoting and executing programs with the youth
Assist in administrative tasks that go along with programming (planning food, inviting youth, debrief, clean up, documentation etc.)
Along with other staff help with building care (Litter pick up, snow shoveling, skate park cleaning)
Partnership Development
This position is funded on a missionary basis requiring the fundraising of the predetermined salary and gathering of a ministry partnership team.
Communicate with ministry partners regularly (newsletters, visits & phone calls as appropriate)
Participate in YFC Steinbach fundraising events such as our Banquet, Annual Golf Tournament, Dinner Parties, and others.
Time Required
This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week.
Qualifications and skills
Applicants must reflect and sign the YFC Statement of Faith
Patience, creativity, flexibility, compassion, and sensitivity to all persons.
Able to exercise discretion, compassion, and empathy, and maintain confidentiality.
Experience working with youth is an asset.
Able to work independently and utilize sound judgment to perform all assigned duties with minimal supervision.
A confident self-starter, able to meet challenges, and to overcome obstacles.
Possess a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and willing to travel (within Steinbach).
Must have a clear criminal record check and clear child and adult abuse registry checks.
